Jeffrey M. Van Dyke, a fourth generation builder and licensed California Structural Engineer
since 1995, earned an MSE degree in Structural Mechanics from the University of California
at Irvine in 1987 prior to returning to northern California to practice structural engineering
design. Jeffrey received his early working experience under John Coil, S.E. in Santa Ana, and
Daniel Shapiro, S.E. in San Francisco, both of whom are leaders in the field of Structural
Engineering. He has been in responsible charge of hundreds of projects throughout California. Interesting and important projects in the San Francisco Bay Area include the Geary Theater renovation and seismic retrofit, United States General Services Administration projects at the Old and New US Mints, new construction design of the San Francisco Youth Guidance Facility Gymnasium, many projects in the Presidio of San Francisco including the Presidio Water Treatment Plant retrofit, the Bay Area Children’s Discovery Museum, the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, and numerous Napa and Sonoma County winery projects. Much of his current work involves design and consulting for the telecommunications industry. Jeffrey enjoys providing sensible and timely structural engineering solutions for projects ranging from new construction design to renovation, repair and retrofit. Consulting services include evaluation and conceptual design, making project scheduling and budgeting possible.
